In the United States we have seen riots, looting and the burning of buildings, businesses and cars take place by criminals who are using racism as an excuse. America is at a crossroads in its history and instead of looking for solutions to the problem of racism, the fires are being fueled by satan to keep it alive and burning. A recent ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States legalizing gay marriage has caused quite a stir in America and I am seeing Christians who are debating each other and are getting angry about the issue instead of going to the Word of God and finding out what God teaches about the issue.
My goal is to share what Jesus is telling us as we are headed into these troubling times. In Matthew 12:22 - 32 Jesus addressed the issue of worry with his disciples and with a crowd of multitudes who came to hear what he was teaching. Just as we are going through troubling times today, people were going through troubling times back in the days of Jesus and his disciples.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
23 The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Wow, God knows what you need! His instructions are for us to seek the kingdom of God first, and then all these other things (food, clothing, water, etc.) shall be added unto you. God knows your every need. We are instructed not to worry about these things. Jesus said, "Fear not, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."
No matter what is going on in your life, "fear not." No matter what is going on in the world, "fear not. No matter that the storms are raging, earthquakes are shaking cities, floods are rising and the weather is warming up, "fear not." Our heavenly Father knows your needs and is taking care of you. He loves you and wants the very best for you. As long as you stay in His will within the Kingdom, you are protected. In the Kingdom of God there is safety, protection, provision and prosperity for all. We serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
Jesus is Lord over all!
Recently we have had a tropical storm move through the Philippines which caused flooding and damage in some areas. There is now a strong typhoon moving toward the Philippines with reported sustained winds of 120 mph and gusts up to 150 mph. We are okay right now. The internet has been spotty at times going in and out for days now. We have had rain and windstorms which affected Los Banos where we live. Thank you for your prayers. If you would like to help us as we help others, please give as you are led by God. We are praying for you. God bless you, may he protect you, may he provide for your needs and may you have the peace of God in your heart.
