"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”
~ Ephesians 6:18
God has provided us with armor to fight spiritual warfare with. We have our loins girt about with truth; a breastplate of righteousness; our feet protected (shod) with the Gospel of peace; the shield of faith; the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit.
You will notice in verse 18 that it teaches us to pray always with prayer and supplication in the Spirit. We are to pray in the Spirit.
Battles are won in the spiritual realm by praying in the Spirit. That is the key. That is the bold strategy that God has given us to win the battle. We have the victory in Christ Jesus. We have the victory by going into praise before the battle, praising God, and then praying in the Spirit.

"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." ~ Jude 20, 21
