Many people are not fulfilling their true purpose in life due to their fears and procrastination. Many do not know their purpose in life. Do you know what your purpose in life is?
What does purpose mean? Dictionary.com defines purpose as: 1. the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used, etc. 2. an intended or desired result; end; aim; goal. It also means to intend or design.
Your body has many parts and every part has a definite purpose. Your eyes have a purpose. With your eyes you have vision and you see things. Your hands serve a purpose. With your hands you can hold something, you can cook food, you can open a door and you can pick up a book to read. With your hands you can type on the keyboard on your computer and reach the world.
Your ears serve a purpose. You hear with your ears. You hear sounds, you hear music and you hear laughter. Without your ears you could not hear the sound of a crying baby or the singing of the birds. Your feet serve a purpose. Without your legs and your feet you could not walk somewhere. It would be difficult to take a shower with your legs and your feet. Without your eyes you cannot see. Without your ears you could not hear. Without your nose you could not smell the fragrance of a rose, or smell the aroma of a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. Would you want to live with your eyes? Would you give up having your feet? No? Why? Because they serve a purpose that you would not be willing to do without.
God has given you a purpose here on the earth. Your purpose is important. As the body has many parts, every part of the body has a purpose and every body part is important. Your heart serves the purpose of pumping life giving blood around your body. You serve a purpose in life, and your purpose is important to someone.
Your purpose in life is to solve a problem. Your eyes solve a problem. Your feet solve a problem. Your nose solves a problem. Your heart solves a problem. You are here to solve problems for others. Mechanics solve problems by repairing or replacing broken parts on your car. Teachers solve problems for their students by teaching them what they don't know. Airline pilots even solve a problem. I don't know about you, but I do not know how to fly a jet. When I want to fly from Dallas, Texas to Los Angeles, California I purchase a ticket from an airline and when I board the airplane, I expect the pilot to be an expert at flying the jet. He has years of training and thousands of hours of flying time so he solves my problem of not knowing how to fly a jet. I Don't need to know how to fly the jet. I only need to know where to purchase the ticket and which airport I am flying from.
What problems are you here to solve? That is your purpose in life. I help solve spiritual problems for people by sharing the Gospel of the Kingdom with them and helping them to find Jesus. Your relationship with the Lord is important in your life. Your faith and belief in Jesus is important. The decisions that you make here on Earth determine your destiny not only while you are here on the Earth, it also determines your final destiny for eternity.
The death of Jesus on the cross served a purpose. You and I have a sin problem. We were born with a sin nature and we sin every day. You may ask, "Exactly what is sin?" That is a great question.
Sin is defined as:
1. transgression of divine law: the sin of Adam.
2. any act regarded as such a transgression, especially a willful or deliberate violation of some religious or moral principle.
3. any reprehensible or regrettable action, behavior, lapse, etc.; great fault or offense: It's a sin to waste time.
4. to offend against a principle, standard, etc.
You cannot come in the presence of a holy God with sin in your life, thus, you could not spend eternity in heaven with the Lord because of the sin debt that you have. Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins. You no longer have to pay for your sins because Jesus paid your sin debt on the cross. In the Old Testament the children of Israel had to come before the Lord once a year and offer a sacrifice to pay for their sins. We now live in the age of Grace and Jesus paid for the sins of the world. God sent his only son to die on the cross in your place. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, your sin debt was taken care of.
Your fears and procrastination will cause you to not fulfill your God given purpose. You will live a life that is unfulfilled, one with worry and stress. You will wander aimlessly through life with no clear goals.
King David had a clear picture of his purpose in life. He was a warrior and a worshiper. He knew his purpose and God promoted him as King of Israel. He was a gifted and talented fighter and warrior and became a great king over all of Israel. During his reign as king Israel won many battles against their enemies because David was walking in his purpose and calling. He loved the Lord and the Lord loved David.
You were called by God to do something. Maybe you are called to be a teacher. You may be called to be a mechanic or builder of homes. Maybe your calling is in healing and to be a nurse or doctor. Maybe your calling is to be a police officer, a firefighter or a soldier in the military. Whatever your calling, do it with excellence. Do it well. You will be walking in the will of God. You will be walking in your purpose.
Commit your plans to the Lord and he will guide you along the way. Seek his will in your life. Walk in your purpose, whatever it may be. When you are in the will of God, walking in your divine purpose, you become a blessing to others, and in turn, you are blessed by others. Walk in your divine purpose. Know what your purpose in life is and go and make a difference in the life of someone.
Your purpose is needed by someone. You are important to the world. Your gifts and talents are needed. Walk in your divine purpose. Walk in your calling and anointing. When you do, you will live a life full of joy, happiness, love and peace.
I believe in you. Believe in yourself. Believe in the Lord. When you are walking in your purpose the lives of others will be changed for the better.
To your success and prosperity,
Tom
