What Is God's Plan For My Success?

Have you ever wondered what God's plan for your success in life is? I know I have.  I have wondered, "Lord, is working this 40 - 50 hour a week job your plan for my life? Is working at a job that I hate the best I will ever have in this life?"  I don't know about you, but I have questioned God about my life more than once.

The answer to the question is both yes, and no. "Is this a trick question?" you might be asking.  No, it is not a trick question. God has answers for your life and for your success.  I was meditating this morning in Psalms chapter one.  It would be good if you read it right now.  It is only 6 verses.  It is what we call  "Conditional," that is, if you do something then God is going to do something for you, sort of like in Deuteronomy 28:1 - 14,

Back to Psalms 1.  In verses 1 and 2 God says, "If you do this, then this is what I am going to do," and he tells us in verse 3 what He is going to do. The last part of that verse tells us, "...and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."  Wow, if I stay away from the counsel of the ungodly, stay away from close friendships with ungodly people and especially stay away from scornful and negative people AND I delight in the law of the Lord AND meditate in His law, THEN He is going to bless me!

We get so much wisdom from the Word of God!  Oh, by the way, the wisdom God has given us in His Word about work is found in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, 11.  We do have to work to support ourself and our family.  It is a principle in the Word of God. Since we have to work, I would suggest that you do something you enjoy.  If you  do something you enjoy, then it is not work!
If you are going to have to work, do something you enjoy and get paid for it!

God does have a plan and a purpose for your life. God loves you and wants you to be successful in your life.  Jesus tells us, "...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."  Jesus wants you to live life in abundance, to the fullest, 'till it overflows!

God bless you.

To Your Success,
Tom
