There are times in your life that things go wrong and nothing seems to be going right.
You cry out to God asking, "what is wrong, what have I done?"
In times like these is when you and I must draw closer to God.
James 4:8 teaches us to, "Draw nigh (close) to God, and he will draw nigh (close) to you."
In my experience when I get in the presence of God and linger in his presence, a calm and a peace comes over my soul. That doesn't mean all of your problems are instantly solved in a moment.
Having the peace of God at that moment calms your fears and soothes your soul. Seek God in moments of turmoil in your life. Get in his presence. Pour out your heart to him.
The second thing that you can do when things are going wrong in your life is to get into the Word of God and let it speak to you. Open your Bible and start reading somewhere and let God speak to you.
Isaiah 26:3 tells us, "Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
And in Psalms 119:165 we learn, "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them."
Get in the Word of God and read it and know what it says. There are thousands of promises that God has given to the Believers.
"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:19
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." - Philippians 4:13
"But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day." - Dueteronomy 8:18
Do you believe these promises of God for your life?
And lastly, make sure you are obedient to the Word of God. Many people cause problems in their life due to their disobedience to God's Word. The Bible is our instruction book on how to live a successful life. It gives us many examples and stories for us to learn from. It gives us commandments to follow. It is more than just the Ten Commandments that we find in Exodus 20.
In Acts 1:1, 2 we find that the Holy Ghost gave commandments to the apostles so that they then could teach them to the church. In the Apostle Paul's letters to the churches he instructed them and taught them the commandments that he had been taught by the Lord. The Apostles Peter, James and John, along with Matthew, Mark and Jude gave us the commandments that they had been taught by the Lord. Everywhere you read in the Bible there are instructions for us to follow.
When you are in disobedience to any instruction given in the Bible loss will occur in your life. If you know of a command of God that you have not followed, make it right. Confess your sin before God and make it right. If you have wronged someone in your life, make it right. The proof of repentance is to go to that person that you have wronged and ask for their forgiveness and make it right with them.
Josie and I are so thankful for each of you who pray for us and who support our ministry financially. We do pray for you. If we can pray for any of your needs, please fill out the form below and we will stand in agreement with you in prayer.
We also would like for you to pray for us. We need your help. We are now teaching a Bible Study at a local elementary school to a 6th grade class. We are thrilled that we have been given this opportunity to share the Gospel with them and to teach them the right way to live, and what is the truth. We provide them with snacks and juice for them. Many of these children come from broken homes and we are ministering to their needs.
We will also be hosting two missionaries from Australia who are coming in October. We will be doing ministry together sharing the Gospel. We will also be inviting 50 people in our neighborhood to our house to have food and fellowship, and for the children we will have games and prizes as well.
We are also setting up six computers that were giving to us so that we can have an after school program for the children, and to teach adults much needed computer skills.
We are also needing a small PA system for our church for the services. The one that we are looking at is $200.00 plus shipping. It is a rechargeable portable PA system with Bluetooth® and wired microphone which would be perfect for our services.
This is where we need your help. We have these additional ministry expenses that we must meet and are raising an additional $1,000.00 for these and other expenses. Please sow a seed today to help us in the ministry.
Because of your prayers and generous financial support, this ministry has been making a difference in the lives of others here in the Philippines where we live and share the Gospel.
Please help us financially and sow your best gift to God. The size of your gift doesn’t matter. It can be $5… $10… $20… $30… $50… $100 or more. Please sow your best gift today to help us share the Gospel in this neighborhood, in Los Banos, in the Philippines and around the world.
Your seed-faith gift makes it possible for Tom Bice Ministries to take the life-saving message of Christ to the world.
Sow your best gift to God today.
