What ARE you believing for?

A man had a son who had an evil spirit in him which caused his son to foam at the mouth and gnash his teeth. It would throw his son into a fire, and into the water trying to destroy his son. He came to Jesus and told him that he had taken his son to his disciples but they could not cast the evil spirit out (Mark 9:14 - 29).
In verse 23 Jesus said unto him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Jesus then cast out the evil spirit and he was made whole.
There are times in our life when it seems like we we face an impossible situation.
Your bank account is overdrawn...
Your doctor just gave you a bad report that you have an incurable disease.
I faced a situation like that in 2006 when I was sick, and was in pain. I went to the emergency room at a local hospital and after some blood tests, x-rays and a CT scan, they admitted me. They would only tell me that I was having some trouble with my liver. They kept me for four days and ran numerous tests on me, and finally told me that I have to see a liver specialist. Two weeks later I did see a liver specialist and what he told me left me speechless. He said my liver was dying, that I had end stage liver failure and that I was going to have to get a liver transplant if I wanted to live.
He then shared with me that I needed to get my affairs in order, and call my relatives and inform them because he couldn't guarantee that I would live long without a liver transplant.
Those very words caught me off guard. For two days I thought about what he shared and I prayed. I then went to the local church that I was a member of and spoke with two pastor friends of mine about the situation. They prayed for me to be healed in the name of Jesus.
My case was then transferred to another hospital who would pay for the liver transplant. That hospital ran further tests, and a few days later I saw a liver specialist there to get a second opinion. When the doctor entered the exam room she was shaking her head. She shared with me the results of the first set of tests done showing that I had end stage liver failure. She then handed me the second set of reports and said, "I don't understand it, but we can't find anything wrong with your liver." God had healed my liver and I never did get the transplant. By the grace, and healing power of God, I am still alive and doing well today.
I believed that I was healed, and I was healed!
With God all things are possible to him that believes!
