"Revive me, O Lord, for Your name's sake! For Your righteousness' sake, bring my soul out of trouble," as Psalm 143:11 (NKJV) states, expressing a plea for renewal and deliverance.
Do you ever feel like you need a refreshing in your life, and in your soul?
I have gone through times in my life where I was physically, mentally, and spiritually down. Last year (2024) was a tough year for me. I was physically sick and faced death in the eyes four different times. I lost both my Mom and my Dad. I was drained emotionally and spiritually. By the end of the year I didn't have any fight left in me. I was just drained, and didn't know if I could go on much longer.
I cried out to the Lord every day to help me, to strengthen me and revive my soul spiritually. It didn't all happen at once, but slowly I began to heal. Today I can say that I have been revived by the Lord. I feel physically better, I have my strength back. Mentally and emotionally I am happy and joyful. I have drawn closer to the Lord, and to my wife.
I read or listened to the Word of God every day. The Lord comforted me when I needed comfort the most. He fed me many days when I was too weak to cook and feed myself. Neighbors would knock on my door almost every day to check on me and they would bring me food to eat and asked me if I needed anything.
I'm sharing this with you to show you the goodness of God. You may think you are alone and no one cares about you, but the Lord is there with you and he cares for you. He already knows your needs and your desires. I have more love for people now than I have ever had because of what I went through. Man may fail you but God is always there by your side. He will never leave you, nor forsake you, ever.
What I went through was only temporary. I knew in my heart that I would rise up again to serve the Lord, and I have.
3 John 2 states, "Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul." (ESV)
Our prayer for you is that God will revive you, refresh your soul, give you good health and good relationships. We pray that your mind will be healed of all your hurts and trauma, and that you will have the peace of God in your heart. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
